Allowing the seeds to take root

So far, 2018 has been a bit tumultuous for me. The pace has been brisk and there has been a lot of change, particularly at work. There have also been the stirrings of many new and exciting opportunities.

To use a gardening metaphor, this has been a time of tilling - a necessary churning of the soil to prepare for growth. It can feel rough and unsettling, but without loosening up the very ground we stand on, anything new will struggle to take root.

The seeds  I've planted in this soil hold the potential for creativity, joy and growth - both personally and professionally. But I'm an impatient soul and waiting for them to grow and bloom can be agonizing. The temptation is so great to dig them up for some sort of proof that anything is really happening,.

It takes faith and diligence to protect and nurture the potential of these beautiful creative seeds, even when there's no visible assurance  that they will grow and flourish. But, oh the beauty and wonder of what's to come!
